I've been inactive on this blog for a while due to an extended period of work preparing a set and designing lighting for a production of the musical RENT. (More on that later!)

In the meantime as I began catching up on my own favorite bloggers I came across this gem from Ox Herding - a blog for which I have great admiration.

The title of the piece is Containment. It uses a metaphor drawn from an abortive effort to quench the Gulf oil leak to describe something essential about the human condition.
